Curtains for Sad Bunker Windows

‘Curtains for Sad Bunker Windows’ is now installed at Elizabeth Castle in Jersey, and two pairs of eyes are gazing out! The old curse is unravelling, and it all looks pretty amazing. We’ve cast a collective spell of LOVE!

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the amazing creative commissions producer, Aras Amiri, and to Nicky Lucas, who organises the creative summer workshops. Also, I would like to thank Ollie Dyson for your tireless help, Jersey Heritage for the invitation, Janet and Val for your sewing skills, Jacques Le Breton for your help around the castle and Katie and all other volunteers who gave their time and skills. And to Kay from BBC Jersey for the interview. To Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore for the inspiration and to the big old castle named Elizabeth, who is so fierce, accommodating and beautiful!

And of course, to the 270 children and parents who came to help cast the most beautiful spell of happiness and love for the future. May it all come true!
