This day retreat is organised by Walk the Walk Collective and is held in collaboration of several experienced facilitators to bring you the best and most powerful experience.
We are delighted to invite you to Shouts and Whispers - a day retreat full of nourishing, transformational and creative practices.
Have you ever wondered how it feels to be fully self expressive and big?
How is it to splash paint onto a big canvas with uninhibited gestures? In our daily lives most of us type on tiny phones, look into small screens and write in small notebooks. Hardly anyone ever has the chance to go big and to release what is holding us back from stepping into our full power.
During our shouts and whispers day retreat we will work our way inwards - from big and liberating gestures and practices to the more subtler and quiet tones and whispers.
We will start the day with full body movement practices like dance and somatic movements, which are designed to get the juices flowing and the energy stirring. From this embodied state we move into a creative practice where we can release what we need to let go of through the power of art. We will create a huge collective painting/drawing that will carry our big expressive gestures on large scale paper. A release painting!
From this release we move into a contemplative phase over the lunch break in which you can journal, rest, wander in the beautiful gardens of The Quiet View to let the morning practice settle in.
In the afternoon we intend to listen to our innate wisdom and collect the fruits of the morning.
There will be a gentle yoga session to bring us back fully into ourselves and our bodies.
A fire ritual will allow us to work further with the creation of the morning. There will be plenty of time to reflect and listen to the space that has opened up through letting something heavy go in the morning. We will have a story time and whilst listening, create something small and precious for you to take home with you. We will support you through this contemplative and reflective afternoon with gentle drumming, guided meditation, gentle movement and creative expression. Each participant will create a little artwork, brimming with the wisdom of the day.
No prior experience is needed. We will guide you through the whole day.
Please bring your own yoga mats and packed lunches. Snacks and teas will be provided.
